All staff are approved and registered by Ofsted and the Pre –school Learning Alliance (PLA). Windmills Nursery School is a member of the PLA which is a national association providing help and support for pre-schools and the the families of the under 5’s who attend them. Other adults who occasionally visit include the health visitor, reception class teacher, headteacher and Warwickshire early years advisory teacher
We operate a minimum staffing ratio of 1:3 for under 3 year old children and 1:5 for over three years old in the Nursery at all times. There will always be a minimum of two adults in the Nursery.
We operate a key worker system This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she is particularly responsible. Your child’s key person will work closely with your child making observations and feeding back to parents with their achievements.
All staff regularly update their skills and knowledge of early years education by attending courses run by Warwickshire Educational Development services and the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
