| Welcome back to a busy half term in which we will be saying goodbye to some of our older children. Miss Maher has already visited the Nursery and we will also be taking the older children to see the new classroom and meet their new teaching staff. |
| Parents Afternoon |
| Please note parents’ afternoon will be on Friday 4th July, from 1.00 pm till 3.30 pm. See list of appointment times in nursery, please remember that due to the number of children moving onto school we will only be able to give about 10 minutes per child. Due to building work being carried out at school you are requested to use the entrance to school off Park Lane and not the entrance through the staff car park off Back lane. |
| Fancy Dress Day and Party |
| Please note the end of term fancy dress day and party will be held on Friday 11th July, 2008 during the morning session. |
| Water closure |
| Many thanks to everyone for their co-operation at the end of last half term when Windmills was forced to close. We would like to offer those children affected by this the option of an alternative session this term. Please see Tina or Marie to arrange this accordingly. |
| Woodland School |
| Due to the closure of Windmills on Friday, 23rd May, Emma Day our Forest School Advisor has kindly rescheduled this session for Friday, 27th June, 2008. |
| Training |
| Please note Tina and Marie will be attending a Training course on Monday 23rd June, 2008 from 9.00am until 12.00 noon but will return to Windmills for the afternoon session. Tina & Marie will also be visiting the Nursery Exhibition & Show on Tuesday, 8th July, 2008 to source new equipment & resources. |
| Building Work |
| Please note over the next few weeks there are to be some major building works at the school, which will affect the entrance to nursery through the staff car-park. There will be skips placed at the bottom of the car park and contractors vehicles entering and exiting the car-park regularly. As a matter of health and safety we would ask all parents to be extra vigilant when walking through the car park to drop off and collect your children. Please DO NOT under any circumstances drive into the staff car park to drop off or collect your children. |
| Sun-cream & Sun-hats |
| Please ensure that sun-hats and sun cream are clearly named. Sun-cream should be applied in the morning before arrival at nursery, we will then re-apply sun cream at lunchtime if requested, for those children staying all day. |
| Trip to Warwick Arts Centre |
| This was a huge success, we have had some wonderful comments and feed back, the children were a credit to you all. |
| Woodland School Presentation |
| Thank you to those parents who attended our woodland school presentation evening on Thursday 5th June, 2008. This was a great success and parents were given a very informative and inspirational presentation by our Early Years Advisory Teacher and our Forest School Advisor on how their children are learning and developing new skills in our outdoor classroom. |
