Carnival - Saturday, 13th June 2009

The theme for our float this year is ‘Around the World in 80 Days’.  Unfortunately due to insurance reasons we can only allow 3 and 4 year olds onto the float.  However we would very much like our younger children to be involved and join in the fun and encourage those parents to bring along their children dressed up to walk along side our float or be pushed in their pushchairs decorated.  Judging of the floats takes place at 12.45pm so please ensure your child is on the float by 12.30pm.  Parents must be responsible for their own children at all times.

Group Photographs
A photographer from Tempest Photography will be visiting Windmills during the morning of Tuesday 16th June, 2009, to take a group photograph of the children.   She is booked to arrive at 9.15 for 9.30am.  If you would like your child to be included, please fill in the attached slip.

Windmills Sports Day
We will be holding a sports day on the school field on Tuesday, 30th June 2009 at 11.15am weather permitting.  The emphasis is very much on taking part and having fun - consequently children who do not want to take part can enjoy watching.  All parents and carers are welcome.  Please note, in previous years it has been necessary to cancel even if the grass is slightly damp, due to safety implications.

ZOO-Lab
Zoo-lab will be visiting Windmills during the morning of Tuesday 7th July, 2009 and bringing their rainforest roadshow with them featuring a selection of creatures including a tarantula and snake.  If your child does not normally attend on a Tuesday morning and you would like them to take part, please speak to Tina or Marie as we have a limited number of spaces available.  This is an end of year treat subsidised by Windmills Fundraising Group.

Parents Afternoon
Windmills will be holding a parents afternoon for the parents of children who will be moving on to school in September, on Friday 10th July, 2009 from 1.00pm till 3.30pm. There will be a list of 10 min appointments in the nursery - please sign against your preferred time.

End of Term Fancy Dress Day and Party
We will be having a fancy dress party for all the children to celebrate the end of another school year.  Please encourage your child to come to nursery dressed in fancy dress and join in the fun.  We also have limited space available for this session so if your child does not normally attend on this day speak to Tina or Marie.

Summer Ball

Windmills Nursery will be holding their annual Summer Ball in the Village Hall on Saturday, 18th July, 2009.  Local band the Fretts will be playing, and there will also be a raffle with a fantastic selection of prizes.  This is our biggest fund-raising event of the year and we would be grateful for your support.
