Fund Raising
The Windmills Nursery Fundraising Group is made up of a group of parents with children who either do or have been at Windmills Nursery, and meetings are regularly attended by Tina and Marei, the nursery managers.
 
Fundraising & Forthcoming Events May – July 2009

There are several events involving Windmills Nursery occurring in the next few months which you may be interested in attending and/or helping out at:
 
Teddy Bears’ Picnic – Monday 25th May
As part of National Family Week, Mothers’ Union is organising a picnic at Harbury Village Hall which will be part of the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s largest picnic. Windmills will be running a Teddy Bear & Sweet Tombola stall with Harbury Toddler Group.

Donations of nearly new teddy bears & bags of sweets by 20th May.

Volunteers needed to set up and man the stand from 12.30-3.30pm.

Picnickers need to register at Village Hall between 12.30-12.50pm.

Picnic starts at 1pm and must include 2 courses (e.g. sandwich and fruit or a cake) and a drink (no glass).
 
Harbury Carnival – Saturday 13th June
Windmills will be part of the float parade and will also be running a bottle tombola at the Carnival. Our theme this year is “Around the World in 80 Days”.

Donations of wines, spirits, beers, cordials, pop etc.  by 10th June.

Volunteers to set up and man the bottle tombola stand from 12.00-4.00pm

Signed forms for children coming on float to be returned by 21st May.

Costume sheet to be distributed shortly in Nursery.

Volunteers needed to build and decorate the float from the start of June.
 
Summer Ball – Saturday 18th July (please note the change of date)
This is our biggest fundraising event in the year so really needs your support. It will be held in Harbury Village Hall from 8pm – midnight. Tickets cost £15 which includes bubbly on arrival, a fish & chip supper with pudding, local band “The Frets”, a disco, bar and raffle. Please try and come along and why not bring some of your friends. Parties of 8 or more can reserve a table; otherwise we will combine smaller parties together. There will even be a ladies only table so let Nursery know if you wish to join this. Posters and ticket order forms will be circulated soon.
